Janitorial staff always went directly to intercourse. Formed the kinsey institute o eventually received funding to study human sexual behaviour. Interviewed 18 000 adults asking 300-500 questions (9 million pieces of info) All responses written in code (only understood by kinsey and his working grad students) using numbers and symbols to keep identities anonymous. Interviewer would adjust his language saying either coitus, intercourse , sex depending on the educational level of the respondent.
