Many men in the area oten speak about huning because it is a signiicant part of their culture. Most anthropologists consider huning and poliics to be two diferent domains, but this is proven to be incorrect. Huning is seen as an illness because it is so addicive. There are many myths around the origins because the true origins are unknown. The last bear in the community was shot in the 1840"s. Only a select number of individuals are able to hunt. There are customary laws that all hunters must follow. Oicials of forestry and police have all authority over huning. Only permanent residents are allowed to hunt. Mountain cocks are hunted as a rite of passage for young males to enforce gender ideologies. A condiion or fact that a person or thing is itself and not something else. It is a product of an acion and is not naturally occurring.
