Body ideals: what you want your body to look like. In unit 7 students are invited to explore a diverse range of representations in different media. Beauty and body ideals, and how we respond to them, are examined in historical context, through feminist analysis of body modification purveyors, such as the diet, make-up and cosmetic surgery industries.
