Chateau and the palazzo: furniture from the middle ages to the renaissance. All these people went back to their tribal existence. You have to have everything there for your entire life. Palazzo is organized in a certain way: they are more impersonal, people didn"t have attachment to their living situations, interconnected, you can only work in one area of the place for sunlight, one row to another= no privacy. Big, empty spaces that lack privacy and specific function. Splitting a hair, cutting fabric: split along the grain of the end, not beautiful, revived furniture, typical no nails, joint furniture. Using a hammer to chip out decoration: carving, but not carving, campus chip carves. Chest, 1350: carving had to do with couple, became more and more complicated. Trestle, 15th c: not fixed, one that"s put together, every time it"s used. Riches houres du de berry 1413- 1460: most richest man being in the party.
