Built on a popular sight believed to be visited a lot by american and european tourists. There"s an older hotel that is so popular that it gets filled up all the time. Hotel manager looking to build one more near by. Interior similar to robby house -> brick and stone. An earthquake on the first day; lots of other buildings got lifted but this one didn"t move. Addressed both cultural and technology needs and differences. It survived 2 earthquake and the war but got demolished for the space of tokyo. Macro structure that can"t be changed but micro ones can be. Part of the metabolist -> who celebrate changes in city. Macro a series of loops transportation system celebrates automobile. Influenced by le corbusier curving maga structure for transportation and inhabitants" consideration (recreation and living and transportation together; connected) However never built; mostly serve as an idea. Best example of mega structure exist today.
