Nonbreeding: start eating fruit, less territorial, roost in the millions, great importance, as they attract high amounts of tree swallows, congregation could be super important for the population dynamics of the. Insect availability: ocean barrier, roosting sites, cavities in the breeding grounds, altitude, temp climate , competition w other species, predation. Highest level of mortality is during migration (all these combined pressures)
