Penelope is the daughter of athena and shows metis (wisdom) Insists she is in mourning because her husband is gone and therefore cannot marry makes a mourning shroud which at night she unravels so it will not be completed. Odysseus shows metis, peitho (persuasion), arete (demonstrated through the other two qualities) he and his wife are favourites of athena.
