Research, pre-interview - come up with list of questions to forecast how it will structure into your lm. Location and background - professor at queens etc. Close to axis, long focal length - put person asking questions near the camera. Talk to the person asking questions and put them closest to the camera. Cutaways - think of possible cutaways (close up of items in her of ce etc) More footage will be bene cial in the editing room and doesn"t allow risk of short clips or cut off clips at the beginning. Statements, not conversation - not a talk show, we don"t want to hear the interviewer. Cardioid - lectures, singing, handheld and close to sound source. Lavalier- neck mic body mic used best for interviews. Who, what, where, when, why, how - start them. Have them repeat the question - better to understand it on screen.
