Island: traditional healing, healers can be seen as various types, Traditional healers it was a calling and they practice both: healer, she spent most of her life learning about plants. She never charged anyone because she said her gift came from nature and it was her path to share it. She was mainly an herbalist, sometimes a psychologist but not a conjurer: sweat lodges, a conjurer uses them because its dark inside, very warm, the stories and songs put people in a state of almost like lucid dreaming. We dream and so do other animals, study on how our ancestors dream. The sweat lodge is used to create this state to conjure the stories of the dream so the participant is moving through and solving problems/fears. Dream story told in the lodge, in a familiar place the story reveals people who have passed.
