Middle class white woman with two daughters who is 44 years old. At the age of 6, claire underwent a clitorectomy at her parents insistence to decrease the size of her clitoris. There was nothing else ambiguous about claire"s sex before the surgery, doctors classify a larger clitoris as a medical condition called clitoral hypertrophy.
