Document Summary

The magician"s road : industrial revolution and global capital. Meaning and contours: what is not the industrial revolution?? factories and even industries in some sense have always been there. It is not the absolute beginning of innovation and industrialization (humans beings are like this in nature). 19th century: during these times we have what is called the rst industrial revolution, then there is also the second industrial revolution which is the revolution of countries like. Germany and france, etc: key difference: the kind of energy people used. Spheres of invention: textile (steam engines, coal power). Nothing would have happened without the rise of the economization of the cotton textile: power (shift in the way power is extracted and used). Initial impact: not very pleasant in the initial years, financial impact: on the common people it is not so good (very large impoverishment) but for the people who are owners of the factories they quickly become rich.
