They will go through cities and try to revive judaism. Many are converting to their style of judaism. Kabbalah mystic interpretation of the bible. Halakha jewish law: hassidics say it is important to follow this law, there is also logic and wisdom to get to god. Immigration: 1st wave - jews started coming to new york (then new amsterdam) in the 1600s (1654) from brazil, mostly sephardic. Some came to canada: 2nd wave happens in the 19th century (1840s) from germany, not as many made it to canada though. Jews in german didn"t want to assimilate into germany.
