- African slaves were traded by African chiefs for guns and other stuff… - A gun-slave cycle started - When the African chiefs had more guns they created artificial warfare - Slave trade was highest in 18 century - most went to the Caribbean  brazil  central/south America  north America - some slaves were skilled and were heavily valued (a hierarchy of slaves in the new world) - Slave in southern US had better living conditions than others - Slaves were not the only ones who resisted against slavery - Danish abolition of the salve trade in 1803 - Possession still legal Emancipation - abolitio
