Declaration of the rights of man and citizen: first legal step for nation having the power. Napoleon"s dramatic impact of nationalists and sentiment: britain"s fear of napoleon = british nationalism, dutch blockades by napoleon = dutch nationalism, greater unity amongst italian states by giving them freedom then later.
