Each answer is worth 5% of the total exam score. Short answer. (20%) (estimated time 25 minutes) answer one of the following questions. This is a short essay, and does not require an introduction or conclusion. Both questions ask you to discuss a particular issue drawing on vladimir voinovich"s fur hat and your broader knowledge of post-war soviet history. Comparative image analysis (25%) (estimated time 40 minutes) answer one of the following comparative questions, orienting your response around the corresponding set of images at the back of this exam. This is an essay (albeit a short one), and should have an introduction and conclusion. Your answer should address both images, and address change (or lack of it) over time.
