Document Summary
Assess the impact of terrain on the conduct of warfare on land, at sea, and in the air. Apply knowledge of terrain and its in uence on war to the battle of king"s town tewt. Work in a small team to plan and execute a simple tewt based on attacking, defending, or observing military operations carried out in king"s town . The surrounding environmental conditions determine which tactics can be used, which military units can be used, at what times of the year, and the planning an preparations that must take place. Important elements of geography for militaries: terrain, distance, weather, soil, climate, seasons, vegetation, animals. The importance of these factors vary depending on the branch of the armed service in question. Navies and air forces experience geography in different ways, but are constrained by it nonetheless. Ships and naval movements are impacted by winds, currents, shoals and the geographies of harbours, islands, etc.
