31 views1 pages

Document Summary

Food banks place responsibility of fighting hunger on a given community, reliving the government of their responsibility to care for the general population: governments need to be held responsible to ensure canadians have adequate ways of life. Food banks run on leftover foods, meaning that a lot of the time, chances are the food is not fresh or healthy. Low cost foods with high energy can have negative health effects on the community: canadians who come to food banks on a regular basis deserve better and nutritious food that will benefit them in the long run. Individuals cannot solely eat nonperishable items; a balanced diet is highly important: food banks can only supply what is donated signifying that it can never end hunger. Unevenly distributed: food banks continue to pop up, but they unevenly distributed, some areas have overwhelming/unnecessary amounts and some are extremely limited.
