I know your meds have some side effects, but you can"t just take them when you think that you need them. They need to be at a therapeutic level, and when you only take them every few days, you"re at nontherapeutic levels. You"re getting all the side effects and none of the benefit. Be curious and ask open questions (figure out potentially why the individual is not taking the antidepressants) Ask permission to provide info on antidepressants (ask permission to keep the ball in the patient"s court) Give facts give facts neutrally, and avoid tone that may convey facts as advice; e. g. , give direct facts by reading label on antidepressants medication bottle. Remember to provide info that follows the epe format (see week 3) Focusing is about seeking and maintain a direction. There are 3 major focusing scenarios: #1: one clear direction, #2: many possible options, #3: no clear direction. Evoking is a cornerstone of what mi is.
