Culturally decided that red means stop (not universally recognized because it is cultural based) / political jargon to describe communists and left winger (something that we agreed upon) / someone turns red (indicating that person is having emotional transformation) Semiotics: study of representation (red can stands for stop, communists, and blushing) in every aspects of what we produced. Semiotics: starts of as ancient greek medical term (set of norms and analyze the disease) then turns into cultural term. Using a light to express the formation of ideas (same idea as red to express stop) Culture plays a huge part of deining objects.
