NURS 101 Lecture Notes - Lecture 10: Fidgeting
Document Summary
For this week we had volunteers who have hearing loss come into the cec to help us practice speaking with patients with hearing difficulty. On top of that one of the instructors even came into the interview rooms to create noise and distractions to further test our interview skills. For the first interview, lipu was the interviewer and she had to interview a volunteer patient with right ear hearing loss. At the beginning of the interview, lipu and the patient switched positions in order for the patient to hear lipu better. Lipu spoke clearly and with optimal volume so the patient can hear. Her tone was appropriate and she was very patient when the volunteer had trouble hearing. Furthermore, lipu kept good posture and eye contract throughout. During the interview, lipu was able ask health oriented questions and collected the patient"s health history.
