Support breast tissue, contracted in cancer produce pits or: adipose tissue. 15-20 lactiferous ducts form a collecting duct system, converge at nipple and form ampullae/lactiferous sinuses (reservoirs for storing milk: fibrous tissue (suspensory ligaments)- cooper"s ligaments. - 4 quadrant: *upper outer: axillary tail of spence, site of most breast tumors. Most lymph >75% drains into the ipsilateral (same side) axillary nodes.
