Anyway that you define politics, has political consequences, common features are things that we hold in common concern and questions of power, conflict and resolution, also raises questions about communication, values. Studying a set of issues that is agreed as political, fields, a certain set of topics that are clustered together ex. Canadian government, political parties, policy approaches to health education, roles of the courts. Second field of study in politics is comparing other countries to each other like voting systems etc. and what we can learn (comparative politics). International relations/ conflicts/ wars/ world organizations and how to they operate differently from normal countries. Gender and politics, division of labor in the house hold, international organizations that help women. Normative approach to something is studying what should happen, like how should we organize the state, an idea state, how should politics be organized.
