The kinds of stories were told will influence they way we think about what is politics and what matters the media is very powerful if you can get your story to be told. Powerful tool for changing the way people think. 2 prong strategy: need story to be told/reported, through that telling and re-telling, you will change peoples hearts and minds (cid:1) media regulation and production in canada (cid:1) regulations: Regulates entry of actors, management of airways on multiple fronts (mobile, internet, television and radio) Manages mergers of people who produce content. Mandate: to protect canadian content and canadian owned distribution. Because we are a small market beside a giant market. Thretened by us, same language so it"s a threat (cid:1) (cid:1) producers: Concern for canaidans we feel we pay too much for these services.
