Welfare state reforms: means-tested support, work-irst approach, clawing back of inancial support. Tradiional organizaion were disability speciic and focused on medical treatment and prevenion of disability. Key consumer based organizaions: council of canadians with disabiliies, disabled women"s network, canadian associaion of community living, canadian disability rights council. Treats disability has something that requires treatment and cure, as abnormal. Oten had close connecion with gov"ts in relaion to provisions of health services.
