Kami"s as essential to shintoism: can be good or bad, occupy shrines. Existential doing something without reason, without judgement. Essential having a reason for something that is done. Mahayana and theravada: mahayana was the greater vehicle. Mahayana opened up, mold to different things different than what it starts with. Bodhisattvas: people who have already reached nirvana, but stay back to help the rest attend buddhahood similar to gods: merit exchange, advanced beginnings, show guide hood. Mahayana was flexible and allowed for rise of other sutras. No matter what their ideas were, all try to achieve shunyata. Bodhisattva has six perfections be like them, follow their path: generosity, morality, energy, virtue, patience, meditation. Have lots to learn, when one is distracted, they will help them find their path. Transcendent buddha all buddha"s teach the same thing but they have to change adopt to people in different stages: anyone who can teach you and make you understand.
