On this day, arcamone and co. had proven conclusively to the world that the cseries was in fact not a paper airplane. Four follow-up test flights were announced, and all indications pointed to a 2014 delivery for the first cs100 jets. The cseries was finally airborne, and bombardier was in the clouds. On the morning of the test flight, the company"s stock price opened above for the first time in months. Over the following month, the stock climbed to an oct. 22 high of . 43 a level it had not reached since 2011. A day later, bombardier shares plummeted 9per cent. Commercial jets aren"t typical specimens of our mass- produced economy. Even wildly popular models tally in the thousands when it comes to totals units delivered. The most successful line of jet aircraft of all time, the boeing 737, has only been ordered about 10,000 times since its 1967 debut.
