Mechanisms of T Cell Tolerance A) Central tolerance: Mediated by negative selection in thymus B) PERIPHERAL TOLERANCE 1) Ignorance - Autoantigen level is so low that anti-self T cells are not activated - Poor mechanism for tolerance: deleterious T cell
