Head forms an introvert crown all marine benthic worms of ciliated tentacles polychaeta. Relies on chemosynthetic bacteria to attain energy. Has few hairs (4 pairs per segment : mostly terrestrial , but also freshwater. Uses a setae to anchor itself to ground. Peristaltic movement to push body forward (has circular and longitudinal muscles to help with this. Muscular pharynx pulls system (coelomic fluid and in food circulatory fluid) Both fluids carry wastes, the food food, and gases. Blood contains hemoglobin which helps to increase surface area (folding of in a closed system. Pump blood using gut inwards) dorsal blood vessel (main pumping organ) Series or pore at the end of the worm (nephridiopore) which is where the worm excretes waste. Pair of cerebral ganglia joined to ventral nerve chord. Pair of nephridia in each segment as well. Most also have giant axons to help with speed of conduction (i. e. nerve messages)
