The role of environment and context - where is creativity? (cid:498)for creativity to occur, a set of rules and practices must be transmitted from the domain to the individual. The individual must then produce a novel variation in the content of the domain. The variation then must be selected by the field for inclusion in the domain(cid:499) (cid:523)315(cid:524). We often think of creativity as a single thing: a flash, a stroke, an epiphany, a eureka or lightbulb moment. Instead, creativity and ideas are networks: ideas are cobbed or stitched together. We often think of creativity as being attached to lone creators.
