Theories also explain behaviour change and gives details about relationship factors, counseling goals, techniques, and etc. Seligman notes that effective counseling promotes feelings of mastery, self-efficacy, realistic hope, and optimism. Cognitive factors: universalization, insight, modeling, acceptance, altruism, and transference.
