Japanese, after the pearl harbour bombing, didn"t have rights, were looked at properties, held in tanks until shipped to work camps. Reads like a eulogy for her uncle"s passing. Naomi something is happening by the end of this novel, but it"s not clear yet. All of the narrative components are expanded in the novel. Past and present / back and forth. Silence a potent place, not of absence meaning and serves as another language. Amniotic deed a quest for the mother, drives naomi forward. All woven together / all components of the narrative all language. We"ll give him a stone the bible, revelations. Meant to encapsulate the work and add significance to particular themes that become clearer as we read the work. Faith is a part of this novel overcometh trauma , a new name written . Suggests it is a movement through to a new place.
