Odysseus"s argument to achilles to return to battle: tries to bribe achilles, achilles sticks by his principles (can"t be bought, questions the reasons for the war. Combat between hector and achilles: thetis brings achilles new armour forged by hephaestus, achilles fights hector and wins. Death of patricles: patricles puts on the armour of achilles to lift the spirits of the people, hector kills him, thinking it"s achilles, achilles returns to the war to take revenge.
