Left half (left atrium, la, and left ventricle, lv: systemic pump, circulates blood into aorta, organs and tissues, atria (singular: atrium) = receiving chambers, thin-walled, blood enters ra via three veins: Superior vena cava (from body regions above diaphragm) Inferior vena cava (from body areas below diaphragm)
