Causes fabric to thing and not last as long. How much effort is used to punch through. Ability for fibers to cling together (during spinning) Amount of stretch a fiber can withstand without breaking. Describes how textile product affects heat, air and moisture transfer. Ability of a bone dry fiber to absorb moisture in a controlled environment 70 degrees f & 65% humidity. Ability to transfer moisture from body to surface of fabric. Causes by tiny muscles at base of each hair follicle. Still air trapped in and around surface pockets. Itching, skin redness as a result of irritation. Ability for fibers to string back (+) wool, nylon, acrylic & polyester (-) cotton, linen, rayon. Breaks bonds, fibers are less ridged and shifted.
