Perhaps the most fundamental qualiies of the globalized world are: The speed at which means of communicaion have changed. The degree to which new technologies have been embraced. The inluence individuals and corporate eniies can now have on the world. All of these things have changed the way we live our lives and do business. And arguably the most signiicant change has been in the informaion transfer capabiliies of the digital world. Anything that moves through a network can be considered as informaion" lowing from one place to another and carrying something. Technology and transportaion advances started during and ater ww2: radar/radio technology, compuing & data capture, visualizaion technology, weather predicion, nav systems, sonar, etc. Large global movements of people (military, refugees, migraion) and efects e. g. the cargo. Growing number of naions new geopoliical interest in who was where, which oten led to aggressive foreign policy iniiaives to control territory and channels of movement.
