The un general assembly"s universal declaration of human rights has emphasized education"s importance as a fundamental human right and a necessary element of development. It is the acquired body of knowledge that equips the emerging labour force with the necessary skills to ensure active participation in economic development. Acquisition of literacy, arithmetic, and problem solving skills improves value and efficiency of labour. It create a skilled and intellectually flexible labour force through training, expertise, and academic credentials. Education encompasses the scope of social values, morality, tradition, religion, politics, and history. In too many parts of the middle east, education is a luxury, unavailable, or only offered to a select few. Too often, girls are prevented from attending school by custom, lack of resources, and oppression. The result is that too many people in the region can neither read nor take advantage of the opportunities that come with education.
