Facilitator versus supervisor: must ensure that those working on project have the appropriate knowledge, resources, and time to accomplish their responsibilities. Systems approach: must understand how everything impacts the overall project, micromanagement, the pm may work for a program manager who closely supervises and second- guesses every decision the pm makes, communicator, virtual project manager. Must communicate effectively with the various stakeholders of the project. More and more often, project teams are geographically dispersed: ofte(cid:374) referred to as (cid:862)(cid:448)irtual proje(cid:272)ts, much of the communication is conducted via email, through websites, by telephone, or video conferencing.
