Some tests are legislated (ex. shelf-life test to protect consumers) Specialized printer"s marks must be placed strategically on the sheet to monitor quality. There are quality checks for the printing plates and the printed sheet. Test elements are commonly placed under flaps, in a glue zone or on the waste matrix. Some packaging requires the test elements to remain visible on the finished package.
