Document Summary

We"ve seen that slavery is a major corporate activity and is a big part of america"s future economy. Not only that but it"s a part of western and european economic systems, industrialization and isn"t something that will easily die. When the american revolution begins in 1776, it"s going to split off from british slavery. Perhaps what happens with british slavery gives us perspective on what isn"t going to happen with american slavery. The american revolution is essentially a tax revolt. One of the first things that the american. Revolutionaries do is they ban the importation of slaves being imported by british slave traders. There"s a boycott of british goods i. e. the famous tea party where americans are throwing british tea into the water (not sure if that actually happened it might have been purely symbolic). There are, however, these low level resistances in terms of financial boycott towards britain.
