Intellectual you want to learn about something new: social social interactions with other people, competence mastery you want to get better at something (ex. rock climbing, stimulus avoidance you want to relax. Mcintosh et al: physical refresh yourself, cultural you want to experience the culture and the atmosphere of the destination. Interpersonal relationships with people: status and prestige travel because you want to feel you have a status. These 2 models talk about motivation and are based off maslow"s hierarchy. While the 2 are similar, there are some slight differences. Push factors internal factors that makes you want to go somewhere (ex. stress from work)
