He changed the music or rap industry forever, giving it it"s diverse name. Something that people said it was once black oriented is not being said no more. We focused on jazz, blues, country, folk, and so on, but i want to dig deeper into rap, and that should be a huge part of popular music. I consider him very important and should be brought up in a popular music class. The artist that i have chosen is eminem. 1972 in missouri the small white kid grew up in a terrible neighborhood and had little to nothing. Being always fascinated with rap/hip-hop the world-famous eminem has gone through a lot to get to where he is now. The reason why i feel like he is missing from the canon that we are learning about is that he is too recent.
