Some data power consumptions tasks are video on demand, marinating web sites, or analyzing large pools of transactions or social media date require more and more power hungry machines. These tasks use excessive power to run and can be harmful to the environment. With these equipment using a lot of energy, this requires for the machine to have cooling equipment as well. The cooling equipment adds additional power consumption and this does not only effect the environment but also effects the corporate operating costs. In a social view this can be seen as a huge problem for global warming. Companies are now researching and seeing how green computing can be a solution to this problem. Companies uses power usage effectiveness (pue) to measure the data center energy. This measuring tools informs us about the ratio of the total annual power consumed by a data center divided by how much it is used yearly.
