4) Using COBIT 5 as a guide, identify the core domains that you would use to manage
and drive your project and then map them to the real-life actions you need to get the job
done.
Cobit (Control objectives for Information and related technologies) is a framework for
information technology and governance. The core domains that we would use to
manage the enterprise would be mainly focusing on operations in the business,
creativity, human resource department, website design and development, consulting,
innovation, content management, etc.
To make sure this gets the job done we would establish principles and strategies for
development. We would ask ourselves what does our enterprise (sick kids) serve? What
is the sick kids goal, mission, and vision? To implement, we will have guidelines;
providing everyone with a role in a department. Some solutions and improvement in
human resource development and organization development would be training staff,
assessment, and consulting. And reducing gender digital divide. To get rid of this
inequality gap between groups ICT services must be integrated into management by
day-to-day business. They should also respond for diversity in design and should pay
attention and add to their policy enforcement. Also by managing and integrating
processes such as planning, marketing, human resource, etc. through Enterprise
resource planning.
“Various business benefits can be realised from ERP investments due to operational
performance improvements. For instance, ERP systems embed industry best practice
processes, which enterprises can leverage to achieve a discontinuous improvement in
performance” (Sam-Foh, 2017).
