News must be relevant to the audience. News should be practical and can is actionable. It must also be creditable and brief for viewers. However, news can also be generous, entertaining, and sometimes fun. The idea that journalists could be the barrier between information and the public. Journalists usually received information before the public and we would get to decide whether it should or shouldn"t be published. Today, journalists are not permanent gatekeepers; anyone with a phone and social media can report or leak information.
