-deontological
duty and rules based
absolutist
non-consequentialist
-you have a duty to behave in a certain way regardless of the consequences
-teleological
consequentialist
-correct conduct determined by usefulness of its consequences
greatest good for greatest number of people
-utilitarian
-ends justify the means
most of us operate in a teleological worlds
-we think we have certain principles that we won’t compromise but often we
do when we think of the consequences
