Vicarious liability: legal liability is assessed against one person for the actions of another: based on the common law doctrine and also in statute (e. g. the ontario human rights code) Voluntarily entered into by parties to a contract. E. g. when you shoot a gun and aim for one person, but hit another, your intention to shoot the gun is what makes the act intentional. The legal right to engage in an otherwise tortious act. Words or actions of an injured party causing a reasonable person to undertake a tortious action. The injured party by its action is partially responsible for the injury caused by the tortious act.
