How to be a good liar aka how to be a good designer. Don"t change your story too much (consistency) Sending the right message to the right people. The audience (specific, can never be everyone ) User, viewer, participant, whoever you most want to understand your message. When design is really good, we don"t usually notice it, because the designers nailed their target demographic. Typography should never be left until the end, or as an afterthought. Unique elements in a design should stand apart from one another. Good contrast in design allows the viewer"s eye to flow naturally. Apply it so that you can show off the different elements of your design. Need to have some degree of consistency. Think about the ways in which you"re going to apply contrast. Once a design pattern has been established, repeat this pattern to establish consistency. Establish a style for each element in a design and use it on similar elements.
