The model tells us that how well we perform depends on more than just motivation. You want to hire someone who is appropriate for the job and you want to keep them as well. Getting people to show for work, physically being in the right place at the right time. You want them to obey the rules and come into work willing to work hard and want to be there. This internal forces that affects their voluntary choice of behaviour. Aptitudes and learned capabilities requires to successfully complete a task. Environmental conditions beyond the individual"s short-term control the constrain or facilitate behaviour. We have already created our values from when we were very young. Our values mean right/wrong, good/bad, what we ought to do in a situation. Values directs our motivation, potentially decisions and behaviour.
