Knowledge enters organization and distributed to employees: better decision making. Information is needed about decision context, alternative, likely outcomes of options. Requires communication from workers, stakeholder: change behaviour. Try to alter beliefs and feelings and their behaviour: employee wellbeing. Communication coveys knowledge that helps employees adjust to the organization. Communication flows through channels between sender and receiver. Sender forms message and encodes it into words, gestures, other symbols or signs. Feedback formal acknowledgement as yes i know what you mean . Codebooks: dictionaries of symbol, language, gestures, other tools to convey information. Use of same or similar meaning to transmitted symbol and signs, more accurate communication. Some people better than others at communicating the message through experience. More understanding of words and gesture transmit message best to that audience.
