Observations (how do people feel when they know their being watched) Participant diary/ log (ppl might be tempted to over exaggerate what their doing in the daily dairy) Note: when conducting job analysis, the objective is to gain a better understanding of the job itself, not to evaluate the qualifications of the current incumbent. Verify with: workers currently performing the job, supervisors. Increasing validity (relevant questions regarding the job) and reliability (same measurements over time: participants will be more honest. Things always change in an organization (restructuring, expansion, change in the market), good to analyze periodically for update. Step 5: writing job descriptions and job specifications.
